The Jarisch-Herxheimer Reaction
Is a reaction to endotoxins released by the death of harmful organisms within the body.
Sometimes when a person is taking Colloidal Silver in the beginning, there may be an effect from the die-off of the many millions of bacteria within the body. It is necessary to make a new user aware of this effect, so that they understand that this is a normal part of the healing process, and do not mistakenly view it as being caused directly by the Colloidal Silver itself.
The reaction is normally short-term and can be regarded as a form of detoxification by the body, and the body may experience symptoms similar to those of Influenza; mild-to-moderate fever, headache, joint and muscle pain, body aches, sore throat, general malaise, sweating, chills and nausea. The skin, being a known outlet for the disposal of poisons, may also show exaggerated blotches or itching.
The Herxheimer Reaction is a perfectly normal reaction that shows that the CS is destroying the pathogens.

Few things to remember:
To increase the electrode voltage, reduce the area of the cathode exposed to the water. You can even raise the cathode out of the water so far that the tip of the cathode wire is just touching the water, but ensure that the evaporation of the DW does not leave the cathode out of the water during your production process.

Moving the electrodes closer together increases the amperage, moving them away from each other will decrease the amperage.

If you need to use more electrolyte to prevent cathode plating, raise more of the cathode out of the water, or increase the electrode spacing.

Formulae to Calculate the ppm of CS from Current and Time
To calculate the time if the current and required ppm are known (the normal case).
The formula is:
Time (mins) = Volume DW (Ltrs) x ppm Ag x 15 :| mA on CC meter

Some Colloidal Silver making devices?
Often makers of colloidal Silver devices use polarity switching for the purpose of keeping the generators electrodes clean by reversing the current flow during the process.
Which is not only bad idea but it is completely unnecessary.
Polarity switching eventually contaminates the anode. Any metallic impurities will plate out onto whichever electrode is negative at the time. This will gradually poison the electrode. When polarity is again switched, some of the impurities now on the electrode are then reinjected into the water. This decreases the amount of silver released, and increases the contaminants in the water. It is also advisable if you are using 2 silver electrodes (and no polarity switch system) to always use the same electrode as the anode and the same one as the cathode.

As one can see from the schematics below (left), there is absolutely nothing to it other than 27Volt DC current and a lamp (indicator)
Nothing that you will not find in the most basic DC unit used for laptop computer, printer or any electrical DC unit that requires source of 12-36Volt electricity. It is that simple!
The Amperage is kept low by moving away from each other the two electrodes (depending on their size; Ohm's Law,
Ohm's law states that the current through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the potential difference across the two points. Introducing the constant of proportionality, the resistance,[1] one arrives at the usual mathematical equation that describes this relationship:
